Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Even not very sweet and not too beautiful strawberries are suitable for this dish, this inevitably comes across, no matter how diligently you choose. On the contrary, the softer it is, the more homogeneous the puree and the better the ice will turn out. Kiwis are also better to choose soft, very ripe.
Step 2:
Pour sugar into water, heat it until it completely dissolves. Add lemon juice. Adjust the amount of sugar and lemon juice to your liking, a lot more depends on the sweetness of berries and fruits.
Step 3:
Peel the strawberries, crush them with a cracker.
Step 4:
Peel kiwi, cut into pieces and puree. You can use a blender or a grater.
Step 5:
Add half of the sugar syrup to the strawberry puree.
Step 6:
Pour the remaining sugar syrup into the kiwi puree.
Step 7:
I used small plastic cups (100 ml) and wooden ice cream sticks as molds. In general, there are special molds for homemade ice cream on sale.
Step 8:
Pour strawberry puree into one cup, filling it up to half. The other half is filled with kiwi puree. Put the molds in the freezer for 1 hour.
Step 9:
Stick wooden sticks into the frozen mixture.
Step 10:
Pour the remaining strawberry and kiwi puree, respectively. Put the molds in the refrigerator until completely frozen, it will take 2-3 hours. Get the fruit ice out of the molds. If it gets stuck, they can be lowered into hot water for a couple of seconds.
You can make striped fruit ice by filling the cups half full, and after sticking the sticks pour the puree of a different color. But in this recipe I decided to observe monochrome :)
