Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the necessary ingredients for making the sauce. You will need fresh cucumbers, mayonnaise (take any one that you use, store-bought or homemade), garlic, salt, ground black pepper and crisp fresh dill. Cucumbers ideally need seasonal, but those that are sold in supermarkets in winter are also suitable for making such a sauce - it's not critical here!
Step 2:
Wash cucumbers thoroughly, cut off the tips. If the skin is bitter or very hard, then cut off the skin. Gently grate the cucumbers on a fine grater. Add the chopped cucumbers in a bowl to the mayonnaise.
Step 3:
Wash fresh dill, shake thoroughly, remove low-quality twigs (dry or rotten) and finely chop. If the stems are thick and stiff, then cut them off and use them for cooking other dishes (for example, borscht or pickle). Add the chopped greens to the mayonnaise and cucumbers. Peel the garlic, grate it on a fine grater and add it to the products prepared earlier.
Step 4:
Add salt and pepper to the prepared ingredients and mix gently. The sauce with mayonnaise and cucumbers is ready! It is not advisable to store the finished dish in the refrigerator for a long time (due to the presence of perishable cucumber juice), so calculate so as to prepare a sauce with mayonnaise and cucumbers in a small portion for one or two times. Enjoy your meal!
Ground black pepper in this sauce will be the most advantageous if you take freshly ground pepper. Heat the peas of pepper quite a bit in a dry frying pan to maximize the flavor, and then grind the peas of pepper in a mortar or in a coffee grinder and add the necessary amount to the sauce.
Thick sauce with mayonnaise and cucumbers will successfully complement boiled or fried potatoes (or even better - baked potato slices in the oven in a rustic way), pilaf, buckwheat porridge. The sauce has a harmonious balanced taste, all the ingredients in it are successfully combined!
