Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 12 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

The ingredients specified in the recipe do not need to be prepared at once. To begin with, take the most necessary. These are frozen mussels and marinade ingredients - soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, vegetable oil, dried garlic, a mixture of herbs, ground hot pepper, onion. First, the mussels need to be pickled.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Defrost frozen mussels in a bowl at room temperature.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Put the thawed mussels in cold water, put on fire and cook for 2 minutes after boiling. Use a slotted spoon to remove the formed foam. Discard the finished mussels in a colander and let cool. I got 170 grams of the finished product.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

While the mussels are cooling, prepare the marinade. In a separate bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, dried garlic, a mixture of herbs to your taste, ground hot pepper (I have a mixture of four peppers)

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Cut the onion into half rings and remember it a little so that it will let the juice.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Add marinade and chopped onion to the cooled mussels, mix everything well, cover with cling film and put to marinate in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours. You can pickle in the morning and make sandwiches in the evening, or vice versa. As you prefer.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Now prepare the remaining ingredients. Cut 4 pieces of white bread. It is necessary to cut as thin as possible, it does not play a special role in this recipe and is suitable instead of "plates" for the main product. In a non-stick frying pan, fry each piece without oil until golden brown on one side. Immediately rub each piece with a clove of garlic.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Break one egg into a cup, whisk with a fork and pour into a preheated frying pan to make a pancake. Fry on both sides for about two minutes. The pan can be lubricated with a silicone brush dipped in vegetable oil. I made two pancakes - I mixed marinade from mussels with one egg, so the pancakes turned out to be of different colors. But you can not do this, it does not affect the taste of the dish. Cut the finished pancake into 4 parts and put it on the fried side of the bread.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise on each pancake in the center. Drain the marinade from the mussels and spread them evenly on the sandwich.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. You can take any one at your discretion.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Spread the grated cheese evenly on top and put half a cherry tomato in the center. If you want, you don't have to steal. Put a sandwich in a preheated frying pan without oil and fry it under the lid on low heat until the cheese melts. At the same time, the side of the bread that was not fried will turn brown.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

The sandwiches are ready! Put them on a platter and decorate as you wish! It is better to eat slightly cooled or cold. Bon appetit!

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

I really liked the sandwich with balsamic sauce. The taste is incredible!

A wonderful seafood snack for any occasion! Very unusual mussel sandwiches with cheese on toasted fragrant bread. Simple, tasty and healthy !
