Cooking method

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1

Wash the apples well. A firm, juicy variety is best, so you get more juice.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2

Cut each apple into quarters and cut out the cores.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3

Then feed the apple quarters into the juicer.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4

    Juice all the apples.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5

Strain it through a fine sieve, just to be safe. You'll get a lot of foam; you can set it aside in a small bowl, and after a while it'll settle and release a little more juice that you can add back to the strained batch.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6

A kilogram of apples yields about half a liter of natural apple juice.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7

Pour the juice into a pot. If it's not sweet enough for your taste, add half a tablespoon of sugar per half liter of juice—or however much suits you.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8

Bring it to a boil, let it boil for about 3 minutes, and turn off the heat. Pour it into a sterilized jar and seal with a sterilized lid. Leave it to cool—you can wrap the jar in something warm. There's no need to turn it over. Just leave the juice like that until it's completely cool.

  • For this juice, it's best to choose sweet apple varieties so it's pleasant to drink. Once you open a jar, you'll want to dilute the juice with water, since it's fairly concentrated. Everyone knows how good apple juice is for you, of course. It's full of the vitamins and trace minerals every person needs daily. Drinking 200-300 ml of it a day does your body a real favor—over time, you'll notice your hair, nails, and skin improve, because apple juice helps the body flush out toxins and buildup. Some even consider drinking juice a kind of health treatment. It's best done in the morning, after you've had at least a glass of water. But take care if you have digestive issues like gastritis or ulcers, and even healthy people shouldn't overdo it—it's best not to drink more than 1 liter a day.
