Napa Cabbage Salad with Chicken, Grapes, and Pine Nuts

It's an interesting mix of flavors from familiar ingredients — nearly all of them are swappable, so the taste comes out a little different and new every time.     Get everything ready. You can cook the chicken ahead of time; rinse the fruit and greens well.

    Halve the grapes and remove any seeds. Cut the chicken to about the size of the grapes, and the napa cabbage a little larger. Tear the lettuce into bite-size pieces. Peel the orange, remove the membranes from the segments, and cut each segment into three.

    Lay the cabbage and lettuce leaves in the bottom of a roomy salad bowl.

    Add the rest of the ingredients on top, one after another.

    Make the dressing: in a small bowl, whisk together the oil, juice, salt, and pepper, and let it sit for a few minutes. Pour it over the salad and toss gently.
