Cooking method

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1

Here's what you'll need. Boil the potatoes, carrots, and eggs. The amount of each depends on how big you want your salad — it's hard to give an exact count of potatoes or carrots, since mine were on the small side. Keep that in mind; better to have a little extra left over.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2

Peel the cooked ingredients. Grate the potatoes, carrots, egg yolks, egg whites, and cheese separately. Finely dice the mushrooms and chicken.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3

Take a flat serving plate. Spread half of the potatoes onto it in the shape of a dog's face.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise, then add the chicken.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5

Add a little egg white on top, then a layer of the chopped mushrooms.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6

Now cover with the cheese. Spread mayonnaise between all the layers.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7

    Now add the carrots.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8

Top with the rest of the potatoes. Cover everything well and smooth it around the edges.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9

Now fill in the middle of the face with grated yolk and the ears with egg white.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10

Fill in the center with egg white too.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11

Cut the eyes and nose from mushroom caps. Use the whole cloves for the whiskers, and cut the tongue from a slice of bologna. Cut the eyebrows from mushrooms too. Let the salad chill in the refrigerator so the flavors meld. Enjoy!
