  • For a soup that's fragrant, tasty, and filling, make it with chicken broth. Put the chicken in a pot, cover with water, and cook until done. Skim off the foam so the broth stays as clear as possible. Add the bay leaf, pepper, and salt to the broth. Once the chicken is fully cooked, take it out of the pot and add the diced potatoes to the broth. In vegetable oil, sauté the chopped onion, bell pepper, and grated carrot until the vegetables turn golden. Now make the dumplings. Put the flour and egg in a bowl, add the vegetable oil (0.5 tsp), and add half of the chopped dill and parsley. Season with salt and pepper and mix. Pour in a couple of spoonfuls of the broth and stir the dough well with a spoon. Add more flour until the dough is about the consistency of thick sour cream. Then drop the dough into the broth with a spoon, first dipping the spoon in the hot broth. You can make the dumplings large with a tablespoon, or small with a teaspoon. Add the sautéed vegetables and the finely chopped herbs to the broth and cook for 3–4 minutes. Ladle the soup into bowls, grab a spoon, and dig in. Enjoy!
