Chickpea Hummus

Delicious hummus for breakfast — and you're set with energy for the whole day! Have you ever bought hummus from a store? If so, forget that sad experience and make it yourself. The zesty taste of aromatic herbs, the faintly sweet sesame, and the bright tang of lemon all weave together with the wonderful nutty flavor of chickpeas. Simply magical!

    1. Wash the chickpeas and soak them in warm water for 4 hours. 2. Cook the chickpeas, covered, for 40 minutes after they come to a boil (until soft). 3. Grind half of the sesame seeds. 4. Add the ground sesame, garlic, salt, lemon juice, and spices to the cooked chickpeas. 5. Blend until smooth. If the purée turns out dry, add a little of the chickpea cooking water. 6. Drizzle the finished hummus with olive oil and sprinkle with the remaining sesame seeds and paprika. Enjoy!
