Green lentil porridge

An excellent side dish or an independent dish - cook! I collect in my cookbook the simplest and most useful recipes available to anyone. Porridge from lentils is one of them. This dish has become one of the favorite dishes for our whole family.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 50 min

1. Peel the onion, garlic and carrots.
2. Cut onion, carrot and celery into small pieces.
3. Fry the prepared vegetables in preheated vegetable oil until the onion is golden.
4. Add finely chopped garlic and spices, cook for a couple more minutes.
5. Put the well-washed lentils to the fried vegetables, pour water. The heat should be reduced to medium, cover the pan with a lid. Cook everything together for 15 minutes.
6. Pour in the tomato juice, add salt, stir and cook the lentils for the same amount.
