Ginger, Honey, and Vodka Tea for Colds
A quick way to help yourself fight off a cold — easy! I use this tea to treat my whole family in winter, especially at the first sign of a cold, when someone in the house comes down with one. It's best to drink it in the evening, or right after you've gotten chilled.

- Put some loose black tea — about 1 teaspoon — into a cup or a tea infuser mug. Wash and peel a piece of ginger and slice it into the mug. Pour over boiling water. Add a couple of teaspoons of vodka (a tablespoon is fine for the men). Cover and let steep for 5–10 minutes. Drink it, then get into bed and bundle up warmly. You'll sweat it out overnight and feel much better in the morning. Note: if you have high blood pressure, use less tea and less ginger. One more thing — this same tea, minus the vodka, makes a great morning pick-me-up. Stay well!
