Dried potatoes

The advantage of dried potatoes is that they are stored for a long time! In general, I do not see any special need for harvesting dried potatoes for the winter. In any city in the center of our country, at any time of the year, you can buy potatoes at a reasonable price. This recipe is suitable for those who live in other conditions, perhaps quite far from the center of Russia and do not have the opportunity to buy potatoes in mid-January.

I know two different ways of cooking dried potatoes.
Method one.
We boil the washed potatoes in the peel.
Drain the water and put the tubers in the freezer.
When the potatoes are frozen, take them out of the freezer and let them thaw.
After thawing, peel the potatoes and squeeze out the water.
We spread the resulting mass on a baking sheet and dry it in the oven with the door open.
During drying, it is advisable to knead and mix the mashed potatoes.
The powder obtained as a result of drying is stored in glass jars closed with lids.
Method two.
Cut the peeled potatoes into large strips and boil for three minutes in boiling water.
Drain the water, dry the potatoes, and then put them on a baking sheet and dry in an open oven.
Dried potatoes are stored in bags or bags.
