Step-by-step cooking
We take onions, 5 small heads. We clean it, cut it into rings and lightly fry it in a saucepan in vegetable refined oil. While the onion is being fried, wash, peel and three carrots on a coarse grater. Then add it to the onion and fry it all together for a few more minutes. So that the carrot gets a golden color.
Next we take lamb. I wash it well and cut it into medium-sized cubes. Immediately peel the potatoes, 6-7 pieces, cut it into four parts. Mix with lamb and add to a saucepan with carrots and onions.
All this is salted, peppered, filled with water and put to boil. Don't forget to remove the foam!!! As soon as it boils, reduce the heat, cover with a lid and simmer until the meat and vegetables are ready, that is, about an hour. In general, the longer we simmer, the softer and tastier the meat will be. At the end of cooking, you can add 2 tablespoons of flour, diluted with a small amount of water. As thickened – sprinkle with chopped herbs (parsley, dill, coriander) and serve immediately. The Irish stew is ready!
