Mors is a drink based on diluting the juice from berries with water and adding sugar to it. Our ancestors perfectly quenched their thirst with this drink, along with compote and kvass. I offer you a recipe for making a delicious and healthy cranberry juice. To begin with, I'm sorting through my lingonberries. Then I knead the berries and squeeze out the juice. I pour it into a jar, cover it with a lid and leave it in a cool dark place. What's left of the berries, I pour hot water and put it on the stove. Bring the mixture to a boil, remove from heat and filter. I cool the broth a little, mix it with squeezed cranberry juice, add sugar there and mix everything. Sometimes I make lingonberry juice a little differently. I use a wooden pestle to knead cranberries. Then I fill them with granulated sugar and leave them for 2-3 hours. The resulting syrup is poured into a separate bowl and put in a cool place. The remaining squeezed berries are filled with water and boiled for 5-7 minutes . I remove the broth from the fire, filter it and add the prepared syrup and citric acid to it. Mix everything and serve it to the table in a chilled form.
