- Coffee… the drink that gives us our strength in the morning, picks us up in the afternoon, and lets us unwind in the evening over a favorite meal. There are countless ways to brew it, and which one you choose comes down to taste. Here's one I'd recommend — a coffee drink that brings together the aroma and flavor of berries, liqueur, and citrus. Spoon the instant coffee into your favorite mug and settle in. Coffee doesn't like to be rushed; take a moment to appreciate it and make it with a little care. Pour 3 to 4 tablespoons of boiling water over the coffee and stir until a foam forms. Drop in the frozen gooseberries, currants, and blackberries, and top up with more boiling water. The scent of the berries mingles with the coffee and harmonizes with it beautifully. Let the berries and coffee steep for about half a minute; once the berries float to the top, lift them out, but leave the ones that stayed at the bottom — they'll lend the drink an exotic note and keep that lovely aroma going. Add 2 to 3 drops of amaretto for a hint of almond. Finally, float a slice of lemon and a slice of grapefruit on the surface — slice the citrus thin so it stays afloat. Your drink is ready: breathe in its delicate aroma and enjoy its bright, fruity flavor.
