- Cut the pumpkin in half and scoop out the seeds. Cut the flesh into pieces. 2. Wash the apples and cut out the cores. 3. Put the pumpkin and apples in the steam juicer and add the water. 4. Set it over the heat and cook for about 1 hour. Once it's done, pour off the juice and blend the pulp. Add the sugar and the hot juice. Stir, bring to a boil, and pour into sterilized jars. Seal the lids and set them under a blanket to cool.
