Green Tomato Gorloder for Winter

A spicy winter condiment that makes your meals even tastier! It's gorloder — a relish everyone knows. But my recipe is a little unusual, since I make my gorloder from green tomatoes (a way to use up unripe ones). It turns out quite delicious! My husband prefers it to the classic version and reaches for the green gorloder first.

    1. Wash the tomatoes, peel the garlic and horseradish root, and wash the dill too.
    1. Put the tomatoes, garlic, horseradish, dill, and hot pepper through a meat grinder.
    1. Add the sugar and salt to the mixture and stir.
    1. Pack the relish into sterile jars and screw on sterile lids (I sterilize the jars in the microwave rather than over steam, but the oven works too).
  • Store the gorloder in the refrigerator only!
  • Tip: use small jars, around 200-300 ml.
  • Serve this relish alongside your favorite dishes — enjoy!
