Cottage Cheese Balls with a Filling

A wonderful dessert any time of year. Delicious and appetizing! Cottage cheese balls with a banana filling are sure to win over your whole household. Kids will happily eat this dessert — a great way to get cottage cheese into them without a fuss. And it makes a fine treat for guests, too.

    1. Blend 1 banana with the orange juice. 2. Press the cottage cheese through a sieve (or blend it). 3. Mix the cottage cheese with the banana purée, then add the zest and honey (adjust the sweetness to taste). 4. Grind the cookies into crumbs in a blender. Stir the crumbs into the cheese mixture a bit at a time. The mixture should be firm enough to shape into balls. 5. Cut the remaining banana into pieces and, as you form each ball, tuck a piece of banana into the center as the filling. 6. Cover the finished balls with plastic wrap and chill them in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. 7. To decorate, roll some of the balls in cocoa powder and some in shredded coconut. 8. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and drizzle it over the dessert. Give it a try — enjoy!
