French Crème Brûlée with Cinnamon
This isn't ice cream at all — it's a stunningly delicious French dessert! I first tasted crème brûlée at a little café in France, and I've been in love with it ever since. I learned to make it myself, and now I'm happy to share the recipe for this treat with you.

Step 2:
Start by bringing 700 ml of the milk to a boil with the cinnamon, grated lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Lower the heat and cook for about 5 minutes more.
-
Step 3:
Meanwhile, whisk 100 ml of milk with the egg yolks (separated from the whites).
-
Step 4:
Whisk the remaining 100 ml of milk with the flour.
-
Step 5:
Pour the flavored boiling milk into a clean medium saucepan, then add the milk-and-flour mixture, the milk-and-yolk mixture, and 100 grams of the sugar. Stir thoroughly, set over the heat, and cook for about 10 minutes.
-
Step 6:
Divide the hot mixture among 6 serving cups and let cool for about an hour. Now make the caramel: cook the remaining 125 grams of sugar in a skillet until golden, so it turns to caramel. Pour the caramel over the top of the custard and let it set.
