    1. Let's start by prepping the lemons: wash them, scald them with boiling water, and peel off the zest with a sharp knife or vegetable peeler. 2. Next, prepare the base for the liqueur: put the zest in a jar, pour the moonshine over it, and set it in a dark place for half a week to a week, ideally shaking the jar every 7-10 hours. I'll be honest — I didn't always stick to that schedule, but the drink came out very tasty and aromatic anyway. 3. Now for the main phase: make a syrup from the water and sugar (bring to a boil until the sugar dissolves) and let it cool, strain the moonshine, and combine the two liquids. 4. We can move on to the final part: the freshly made liqueur should rest in a glass container for another week in a cool place. Serve the limoncello chilled, in good company. Enjoy!
