Spanish cuisine is considered one of the richest in the world. So such a simple and unpretentious food as pea soup in Spain is prepared according to its own special culinary recipe. I think it's worth trying the Pea Soup (Puchero) and comparing it with our simple pea soup.
The first thing to do is to prepare peas from the evening. Let's wash it thoroughly and pour it in a saucepan with water so that it softens overnight.
The next day we will wash and cut into pieces the beef and ham. Put them in a pot with peas, pour water and start cooking. This can take quite a long time. Do not forget to remove the foam.
Cut the Chorizo sausage into small cubes, grate the carrot and cut the onion.
We throw all these components into a saucepan, bay leaf, salt and black pepper in the same place. We cook all this for another half an hour.
Now let's cook the dumplings. We will make minced meat from the ham, add bacon, garlic and parsley. Then, add the egg, mix everything and you can make dumplings. Roll them in breadcrumbs and fry them in a frying pan with oil.
The soup is almost ready. It remains to add dumplings to it and you can serve it on the table
