Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make cottage cheese in the oven? Prepare the products. Take cottage cheese not crumbly, but soft, otherwise the curds will fall apart. The most delicious cheesecakes are obtained from fatty cottage cheese. Choose high-quality cottage cheese, without milk fat substitutes. Determine the amount of sugar to your taste. I put it all in, it was sweet. The oil is used for frying. In Soviet times, margarine was used. You can also fry in vegetable oil.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Break the egg into a bowl and shake it with a fork so that the yolk and protein mix. Separate half of the egg, it will not be needed. Pour the egg into a large bowl, put the cottage cheese, sugar and 2/3 of all the flour there, the rest will go for crumbling cheese cakes. I always add a little salt, a little pinch. This makes the taste of cheesecakes brighter.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Mix the dough well with a spoon or hands.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Sprinkle flour on the board. Put the dough on it and form a sausage about 6 cm thick from it. Roll it in flour from all sides.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Cut the sausage into washers of the same width. It is better to make 8-9 cheesecakes from one serving, then they will be the ideal size - they fit well in a frying pan and easily turn over. I first outline the middle, then divide each half in half and so on. So it will be much more convenient to cut.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour flour on a plate and start forming cheesecakes. Put each washer flat, roll the top and bottom in flour. In a circular motion, beat the edges to an ideal shape. It is convenient to do this with a glass of a suitable diameter. The cheesecake is ready.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Form the whole portion of cottage cheese in this way.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Heat the frying pan, put butter on it and melt it over low heat. Put the cheesecakes in the pan.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Fry them over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Put the cheesecakes in a mold or on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. If your frying pan can be put in the oven, then leave the cheesecakes right in it. Mine is not allowed, so I have a uniform. Bake the cheesecakes for another 7 minutes in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees. Serve them hot with sour cream, jam or condensed milk.

The cheesecakes turned out very tasty! I would reduce the sugar if you plan to serve them with jam or condensed milk. And the frying oil can also be reduced to half.

Be sure to wash the eggs before use, as even the seemingly clean shell may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush.

Instead of sugar, you can use a sweetener that is not afraid of heat treatment.

So that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
