  • First I make the syrup, using one cup of sugar and one cup of water. I add the espresso powder. As soon as my coffee syrup is ready, I carefully pour it into any handy glass dish and add my beloved condensed milk (a quarter cup). I really love the flavor vanilla gives, so I add a little vanilla extract (one teaspoon). I stir the syrup thoroughly. Now I need a blender to crush the ice. If you don't have a blender, you can use a meat mallet to crush the ice. Then I take a ceramic mold and spoon in the ice crumbs, shaping them into a ball with the spoon, as if I were making snowballs on a snowy day. Then I pour the syrup over the molds and serve. If your guests want to liven things up, you can add a little coffee liqueur or vodka to this lovely dessert (a hundred grams at most). And your festive dinner is guaranteed plenty of fun and good cheer.
