Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare curry sauce, you will need sour apples, onions, salt, curry powder, garlic, a little fresh ginger and chicken broth. Let's start cooking. Cut the onion into a small cube, grate the garlic on a fine grater or finely chop with a knife.
Step 2:
Fry the onion in butter until transparent over low heat. Add the garlic and fry for about two more minutes. Peel the apple from the skin and seeds and grate on a coarse grater. Add to the onion and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Step 3:
Add salt, curry powder and finely grated ginger. If desired, you can add a little red hot pepper and turmeric. Stir and fry for 1 minute.
Step 4:
Add the broth and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.Chicken broth can be replaced with vegetable broth. Chicken is a frequent guest on our table, I cut it up, legs and breast go to the second course, and I cook broth from the carcasses and wings, and if necessary, pour it into small containers, store it in the freezer.
Step 5:
Punch the sauce with a blender until smooth, and boil for another 5 minutes. The density of the sauce can be adjusted independently, if you want a thicker sauce, you need to boil it for a longer time. You can add a little chopped greens to the sauce.
Step 6:
This sauce is perfect for chicken. Chicken fillet can be cut into a small cube, fried, pour sauce and stew. You can take the ready-made meat and just pour the sauce on top when serving. Rice, pasta or vegetables are ideal as a side dish. Enjoy your meal!
Curry powder is rich in spices and herbs. This includes turmeric, cumin, chili pepper, cloves, fenugreek, and nutmeg. The composition is very rich and saturated, you can't count everything. Due to turmeric, the dish acquires such a bright, sunny color, ginger and chili bring warming notes. Literally a pinch of curry can transform any boiled vegetables, rice or meat.
