    1. Beat the eggs with the sugar using a mixer. 2. Add the cottage cheese, salt, vodka, and the vinegar-slaked baking soda. Mix. 3. Add the flour and knead into a dough—you may need a little more flour. It should be like dumpling dough. 4. Roll out to about 3/8 inch (1 cm) thick and cut out rounds with a shot glass. 5. Pour about 3/4 inch (2 cm) of vegetable oil into a Dutch oven or deep skillet; the dough should float in it. 6. Fry on both sides—the puffs double in size. 7. Dust with powdered sugar to serve.
