- Here's a recipe for a typical Latin American dish made from meat and offal with tropical fruit. Brazilian cuisine reveals the secrets of this dish here — give it a try, and it just might become a favorite. Start by cutting the veal liver into thin slices and seasoning with salt and pepper. Pour over the white wine and lemon juice (remember to save some for finishing), add the onion (in rings), and marinate for 8 hours. Then fry the slices in oil with the bay leaf and marinade, and simmer for 4 minutes. Just before it's done, add the banana cut into thin slices, stir, and sprinkle with the reserved lemon juice. The dish is ready! Brazilian veal liver is served garnished with fresh herbs, alongside white bread or fluffy rice. Enjoy your meal!
