Irish cuisine is famous for meat dishes and various sausages. The culinary recipe for black pudding with gooseberries is one of the most famous from this list. Such food will be an excellent snack for any alcoholic beverage, and an addition to any side dish of vegetables. However, this recipe requires a certain skill in cooking, so it is not suitable for novice cooks. But when you cook this sausage, you will be amazed by the wonderful delicate taste and spicy aroma of spices.
To start, peel the sausage and chop the green onion and red pepper. Cut them into small cubes – it will be more convenient. Pre-prepare mashed potatoes and add sausage, onion, pepper, mustard and vinegar to it. Carefully stir the resulting mass until a homogeneous consistency, so that there are no lumps left. Roll out of this "dough" tubes about 5 cm long, roll them in flour, smear with beaten eggs and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Put the resulting sausages in a frying pan with boiling vegetable oil and fry until golden brown. After that, take out the sausages and wrap them in a napkin, keeping them hot.
At the same time, stir the sugar in the water and put a saucepan with sugar water on medium heat to make syrup, add gooseberries and cook for 10 minutes. Ready sausages should be put on a plate and pour the resulting syrup. That's all, bon appetit!
