Unsweetened Shortcrust Pastry
Excellent sugar-free shortcrust pastry for crumbly, delicious baking! The unsweetened version of shortcrust pastry is great for baking tartlets and pastry shells, for example — homemade ones are far tastier than store-bought. And of course for any other baking where you need the dough to be unsweetened.

- Cut the butter into small pieces. 2. Sift the flour into a mound on the counter or into a wide bowl. 3. Make a well in the center of the mound, put the cut butter in it, add the salt, and crack in the egg. 4. Mix everything and cut it into crumbs with a pastry cutter, then quickly knead the dough until smooth. The faster you work, the more pliable and supple the dough will be. 5. Wrap the finished dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate it for 1 hour. Once the time is up, you can shape the dough into whatever you planned. Happy baking!
