- Peel the garlic, onion, and carrots. Cut the onion into small cubes, slice the carrots into rounds, and press the garlic through a garlic press. 2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet, add the onion, carrots, garlic, and farro, and sauté for about 3–4 minutes, until the onion softens. 3. Pour in the dry white wine and let it cook over low heat until it has completely evaporated, then add the chicken broth and cook for 20–30 minutes. When the time is up, stir in the green peas and grated Parmesan and season with salt and pepper. The dish is ready — serve it up and enjoy!
