- Pour 3 cups of water into a medium saucepan and bring it to a boil. Add 1 cup of lentils and cook for about 15 minutes, until the water is absorbed. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a skillet. Dice the onion and fry it for a couple of minutes until fragrant, then add the finely chopped cabbage and celery, the porcini mushrooms cut into thin slices, salt, chili, and finely chopped garlic. Fry until almost tender. Stir in the cooked lentils and mix well.
