Homemade Chewy Gummy Candy

Even Grandpa loves these chewy gummies, not to mention everyone else in the family)) We've been making them ourselves for quite a while now, especially on weekends, to make them a little brighter and more fun. Try making this treat yourself and surprise your family.

  • In a deep bowl, mix the sugar, gelatin, fruit gelatin, and citric acid. Pour the water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Add the dry ingredients to the boiling water and stir with a whisk (this is key — only a whisk will break up any lumps). Stir the mixture until smooth and cook for 3 minutes, then pour it into any container (I use a regular storage container). Once it cools to room temperature, you can move the container to the fridge. After 2–3 hours, take out the candy, turn it out of the container, cut it into bars, and roll them in powdered sugar. Help yourself and enjoy!
