Homemade Stuffed Tortillas (Liver Pâté Filling)

A delicious snack — surprise your family! I make stuffed tortillas as a snack, switching up the fillings, and my kids love them. I pack them tortillas with a cheese filling for school. My husband likes the meat and liver fillings, and I often make myself one with farmer cheese and garlic. Improvise! In today's recipe, I suggest trying a chicken liver pâté filling. It's so good!

  • First make the tortillas: 1. Combine both flours and add the salt. 2. Pour hot water into the mixture and knead it into a dough. 3. Work in the melted butter. 4. Knead the dough well until smooth — it should be elastic. 5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 35–40 minutes. 6. Divide the dough based on your skillet's size (an 8-inch / 20 cm pan into 8 pieces, a 10-inch / 26 cm pan into 6) and shape each into a ball. 7. Roll each ball out into a thin round. 8. Heat the skillet well (dry — no oil needed). 9. Cook the tortillas on both sides until lightly browned. Now make the filling (better yet, prep it while the dough rests): 1. Rinse the liver and boil it in salted water for 10–15 minutes. 2. Peel and wash the carrots and onion. Dice the onion and grate the carrots. 3. Sauté the prepared vegetables in vegetable oil. 4. Cut the liver into small pieces and blend it smooth, working in the butter and ground pepper to taste. Assemble: 5. Spread each tortilla with a layer of liver pâté. 6. Top with a layer of the sautéed vegetables. 7. Roll it up. 8. To serve, slice into pieces and serve with fresh herbs. Enjoy!
