The Laziest 4-Ingredient Salad
The easiest and quickest recipe. A salad with a secret. Why is this salad called "Lazy"? Because you don't have to get out a knife or cutting board or dirty up any dishes. One salad bowl and a spoon are enough. Fans of simple dishes will love it. And fans of fancier ones too!
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Take all the ingredients. This recipe calls for one can each of beans and corn. Open them and drain off the liquid.
-
Step 2:
And add everything to a bowl one at a time: corn first.
-
Step 3:
Beans. You can use absolutely any beans: red, white, in tomato sauce or plain. It all depends on your taste. You can even change up the beans each time.
-
Step 4:
Croutons. Use whatever croutons you like best. I prefer rye, without strong flavorings, so as not to add too much taste. Why rye? Because they don't go soggy as fast.
-
Step 5:
And mayonnaise :) Enjoy! Be sure to surprise your guests with this dish.
- I'd also call it the "Student" salad. Well, what could be simpler?! Mayonnaise and croutons are carbs that fill you up, and the beans are protein the body needs. If you have folks like that in your family, be sure to tell them about this recipe. I'm sure they'll appreciate how simple and tasty the dish is.
- If guests suddenly show up and dinner isn't ready yet... they won't catch you off guard! Because now you have this recipe.
- I call this a salad with a secret, and here's why. A salad of four ingredients — what could possibly be interesting about it?! But no matter how many times I make it, it's always the first to disappear from the table. Or it certainly doesn't survive to the end of the evening. I still haven't figured out the dish's secret, but I'm amazed every time it gets wiped out completely :) which can only be a good thing!
- The salad works both for everyday meals and the holiday table. I usually put it out as part of the "supporting cast." You can also make it on a hike or outdoors — all you need is a bowl and a spoon.
- If you like, you can add herbs to the salad for a little zest. But then it'll be hard to call it "Lazy," since you'll have to wash and chop the herbs — and that's extra effort.
- All in all, you can use this recipe as a base and experiment as much as your imagination allows.
