Step 1:
We prepare all the necessary products specified in the ingredients and look at how to prepare a salad of beetroot, potatoes and herring.
Step 2:
First, peel the herring. We gut it, cut the abdomen, cut off the head and spine, take out the bones and remove the skin. We will only need the flesh of this fish. If the herring is too salty, it will need to be soaked in water or milk beforehand. Cut the fish fillet into small slices. If you do not want to waste time cutting herring, then buy a ready-made fillet in the store.
Step 3:
Cooking potatoes "in uniforms ". To do this, put it in a saucepan with cold salted water and cook after boiling for 25 minutes until ready, which can be checked with a knife with a sharp blade. Remove from the water and let cool.
Step 4:
Cook the beetroot for 40-50 minutes to make it soft, then cool it by removing it from the pan and leaving it in a cool place for a while. The readiness of beets can also be easily checked with a knife, piercing it in several places for testing.
Step 5:
Divide all the components into two parts.
Step 6:
Potatoes, beets and apples are grated on a coarse grater (apples can be sprinkled with lemon juice so that they do not darken). Peel and chop the onion.
Step 7:
Now let's "assemble" the salad. It is the assembly, since the sequence of actions is important here. Put half of the herring on the bottom of the salad bowl, put half of the whole potatoes on top.
Step 8:
Next, spread half of the apple chips.
Step 9:
The next layer will consist of half beetroot and half onion.
Step 10:
Pour half of the prepared mayonnaise on top.

Level it up.

Then we go around the second circle: we spread the herring and potatoes.

Then the grated apple.
Step 14:
Finish the dish with a layer of beetroot and onion.
Step 15:
Pour the remaining mayonnaise on top of the salad. At the end, decorate the salad with chopped parsley. We give the finished dish time for impregnation.
