Cooking method
- Here's a recipe for a light yet filling dish — crab salad. It's called crab salad, but as the joke goes, "no animals were harmed in the making." Joking aside, instead of real crab we'll use imitation crab sticks. That said, if you have real crab meat on hand, it's not just suitable — it's even better. First, hard-boil the eggs; this takes about 12-15 minutes. You'll also need cooked rice: put it in boiling salted water and cook, then rinse the cooked rice and set it in a bowl to cool. Once the rice has cooled, mix it with the shredded cabbage. Cut the crab sticks into small cubes and add them to the salad. Peel the eggs, chop them finely, and add them in. Open a can of corn, drain the liquid, and add the corn to the rest. Peel and chop the onion — whichever way you like; rings work too — and add it to the salad. Now season with salt and add the mayonnaise. All that's left is to toss the salad, and it's ready to serve.
