Captain Vidal's Crying Fish soup is a special pride of the Portuguese. The soup is named after one captain, whose team, while on a voyage, was left without food supplies. The captain still found a way out of the situation and saved the team from starvation. He took a fish caught from the sea and intended for sale, and cooked it. Since then, they say that the fish cries when it gets into boiling water.
We take fresh fish and boil it over low heat. Next, it needs to be cleaned from the skin and bones. Cook the chopped potatoes, onion and garlic in the resulting broth, add olive oil and red pepper. Ready-made vegetables should be ground into a puree using a blender. We dilute the puree with broth and add the pieces of boiled fish to the soup and cook everything together for another 20 minutes. The favorite dish of the Portuguese is ready. Try it and you! Fast, tasty and healthy!
