Corn hominy in Moldovan

A delicious, hearty dish for a family dinner. This dish is always served to me by my relatives when I come to visit sunny Moldova. The culinary recipe is called "Hominy". It is prepared from finely ground corn groats. It is very important. If you want to cook hominy, then buy it, and not flour or cereals, from which corn porridge is usually cooked. It is also equally important to get a cauldron for cooking this food. Of course, you can make it in an ordinary saucepan, but then you will not feel the flavor of Moldovan cuisine. It is even better to cook corn hominy in Moldavian at the dacha or in the village, where there is a stove. But it is also possible at home.

Dry the corn grits on a baking sheet. Take the cauldron. Pour water into it at a rate of 1:3, namely 3 parts of water and one of corn groats. Put the water on the fire. Wait until it boils. Add a little salt to the water. Add a third of the corn groats to the boiling water and cook it for 15 minutes. Then add the rest of the grits and cook over low heat for 25 minutes, stirring the grits constantly. In order to stir the grits, use only a wooden spatula. After that, leave the hominy to languish on the fire until it is uprooted.
I ate hominy with cheese and fish. You can eat this dish with sour cream, meat, bacon.
