Tartlets with Processed Cheese and Caviar
A little time and imagination, and a great appetizer is ready. These caviar-and-cheese tartlets are interesting for using two kinds of cheese — hard and processed. It was my experiment: how red caviar would pair with a firm, semi-dry cheese. The experiment was a success, so now I'll always make it this way.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Get the ingredients ready.
-
Step 2:
The filling. Cut the hard cheese into small cubes.
-
Step 3:
Spoon the processed cheese into a piping bag fitted with a closed-star tip.
-
Step 4:
Put 1 tablespoon of hard cheese into each tartlet.
-
Step 5:
Pipe rosettes of cream cheese around the rim of each tartlet.
-
Step 6:
Put 1-2 teaspoons of red caviar in the center.
-
Step 7:
Pipe one more star of cream cheese in the center, over the caviar.
-
Step 8:
Garnish the tartlets with parsley. I also garnished them with imitation black caviar.
