    1. Pour water into a pot and bring it to a boil. Peel the potatoes, cut them into cubes, and drop them into the boiling water. 2. Slice the frankfurters into rounds and fry them in oil, then transfer the fried slices to the pot with the potatoes. 3. Grate the carrot and cut the onion into medium dice. Add them to a skillet with oil and sauté for 10 minutes. Then stir in the tomato paste and cook together for another 5–10 minutes. 4. Slice the pickles and olives into rounds, and cut the lemon slices into quarters. 5. Add the sautéed onion and carrot, the sliced pickles, olives, and lemon to the pot with the frankfurters and potatoes. Cook everything together for 10–15 minutes. Tip: taste the soup for salt — usually you won't need to add any. You can garnish the finished soup with fresh herbs or add sour cream or mayonnaise to taste.
