- Drop the prepped, diced potatoes into boiling water. After 10 minutes, add the rinsed buckwheat, coarsely grated carrot, onion, dried or fresh herbs and root vegetables, and salt. Simmer another 20 minutes. Serve with homemade adjika or ketchup, sprinkled with fresh herbs.
