Sweet Cherries in Their Own Juice for Winter
Comes together very quickly, and the result is incredibly delicious! The season for putting up food for winter will be here before long. Among the other things I've planned to can, I want to put up sweet cherries again this year — only more of them this time. They turn out far too tasty and, as you'd expect, get eaten up fast.

- First, wash the jars. While the water drains off them, sort through the cherries, pull off the stems, and rinse the berries. It's better not to cut corners and to set aside any spoiled berries. Next, pack the cherries into the jars and pour granulated sugar on top. The jars of berries need to be sterilized — this takes about ten minutes. One last step remains: seal the jars and wait for them to cool. You don't have to wrap them in a blanket the way it's usually done. Once the jars of berries have cooled, move them to a cool and preferably dark place. Done. Enjoy!
