  • Let me suggest my recipe for a very tasty prune salad. It's not only delicious but also wholesome and nourishing — prunes have long been known for their benefits. Try this salad and you won't regret it. First, soak the prunes: pour boiling water over them and let them stand until soft, but don't leave them too long. Take a whole chicken or a half weighing about 400–500 grams and cook until done. Chop the mushrooms and onion and fry them in a skillet with hot vegetable oil. Set aside four or five prunes for garnish, then chop the rest and put them in a salad bowl. Drizzle a little mayonnaise on top. Now for the chicken: pull the meat off the bones and cut it into thin slices. Layer the chicken over the mayonnaise. The next layer is the mushrooms and onion. Drizzle with mayonnaise again. Then a layer of boiled eggs, chopped or grated. Top with mayonnaise once more. Now garnish the salad with pieces of prune and fresh cucumber. You can add a variety of fresh herbs, too.
