One of the ingredients of candy is carob. This is a guest of the Mediterranean, who relatively recently came to our shelves, but has already managed to fall in love. It is prepared from dried pods of an evergreen legume plant. This product successfully replaces cocoa and sugar, and also has a beneficial effect on the intestinal microflora.
To make candy from carob, you need ingredients according to the list, a good mood and a blender!
So, let's start with dates. They need to be washed and scalded with boiling water. Then cut into small pieces and send to the blender bowl.
Next, add coconut chips to the dates, as well as carob powder. Beat everything together at a low speed for 1-2 minutes.
Add water to the resulting mixture and beat until a homogeneous plastic mass is obtained.
With clean hands soaked in water, form round candy balls, at the rate of: a teaspoon with a slide for one candy. Roll the resulting balls in carob powder and put them in a candy bowl.
Serve carob candies with hot tea! :)
