  • Today is Monday, which means it's time to come up with something new… Why not declare this an apple week? Thanks to Mom and Dad for growing so many apples at the dacha! There's plenty of the main ingredient, so let's begin. Today we'll try a delicious but no less healthy apple salad. The recipe comes not from some ordinary magazine, but from "The Art of Cooking" by the Le Cordon Bleu culinary academy. How about that! So it's no surprise the flavors match each other perfectly. And don't be surprised that this recipe includes fresh parsley — it's the only thing that can bring out the salad's sweet-and-sour flavor. Without it, you won't get such a vivid combination. First make the dressing: mix the honey, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and mint. Personally, I'd also add a little olive oil (it helps the carotene absorb better). Mix the carrot (coarsely grated), apples (cut into cubes, peeled in advance if you like), finely chopped dates (don't forget to remove the pits), and parsley. Pour the dressing over it. For a properly made salad, let it rest for 15 minutes. The dish is ready — time to dig in. P.S. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away!"
