- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 285°F (140°C). Brush both sides of the bread slices with a little olive oil and toast them in a nonstick skillet until lightly golden. Rub one side of each toast well with the ginger (for aroma). Keep the toasts warm in the oven or covered in the pan. Step 2: In a bowl, toss the liver with the dill, garam masala, salt, and ground black pepper, making sure it's evenly coated with the spices. Heat the butter in a skillet until it foams, add the spiced liver, and cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring often. Then add the grated ginger, dates, and figs along with the balsamic vinegar and stir well. Cook for one more minute. Step 3: Set the toasts on a serving plate and top each with a few tender lettuce leaves. Spoon a quarter of the sautéed liver, figs, and dates onto each. Drizzle with the pan sauce and serve. Enjoy!
