Cheese Canapés

An excellent appetizer for a festive dinner! What is a canapé? It's a kind of tiny, light sandwich made from a variety of foods speared on a skewer. We're used to telling savory canapés from sweet ones — that is, ones made with various cheeses, vegetables and sausages versus ones made with fruit. But have you ever tried combining these little bites into one? Honestly, when I first made cheese canapés from a rather intriguing recipe, I was pleasantly surprised. These canapés really are very tasty, and good for you too.

  • So, how do you make them? First, cut the Gouda cheese into even cubes, then thread it onto a skewer (wooden or plastic, plain or decorated — even an ordinary toothpick will do). Now peel the tangerines, separate them into segments, and cut the segments in half. Peel the kiwi too and cut it into cubes. Then, on top of the cheese, add the kiwi, and then the tangerine pieces. Our canapés are ready! We can serve them. There can be countless variations with different fruits. The main thing is that they be sweet-tart fruits or berries.
