Cooking method
Let's start with mayonnaise for salad dressing:
- beat the yolks with a blender and gradually pour in a thin stream of two types of oil;
- whisk until thick and smooth, add garlic, mustard, wine vinegar, whisk again;
- salt, pepper and put the mashed tomatoes, beat again until smooth;
- we put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Now we prepare the salad itself:
- we heat up the frying pan and send the bacon cut into 2 by 2 centimeters plates into it;
- cut the apples into 4 parts, remove the core and cut each part into thin plates (like bacon);
- put the apple in a bowl to mix the salad, after which it needs to be sprinkled with lemon (or lime) juice;
- the bacon is fried - we transfer it to a napkin to dry it from fat;
- slice-cut two loaves into large cubes, crush the garlic with a knife and send it together with the bread into a frying pan with the fat left after frying bacon;
- at medium temperature, dry and brown the breadcrumbs;
- meanwhile, the leaves of the Savoy cabbage are divided in half and cut into strips;
- stir the breadcrumbs (if the pan is too dry, add a drop of vegetable oil), salt, pepper;
- put cabbage, part of bacon and dressing to the apple, mix.
We serve salad according to dishes, spread the rest of the bacon and breadcrumbs on top.
Bon appetit with a hearty Danish salad!
