Goja vegetable stew with pork meat

A great dish for a hearty and light home dinner! Very tasty stew. In the hinterland of Vinnytsia, they prepare a dish with such an interesting name - Goja. In fact, it is a vegetable stew with meat, the main components of which are potatoes, cabbage, onions, carrots, beans, pickles - without at least one of these ingredients, Goja will not work. All other additional ingredients can vary as you like: meat, mushrooms, celery, red cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, etc.

Wash and peel the vegetables.

Heat a frying pan, pour vegetable oil into it and warm it up well.

Cut the meat into cubes, put it in oil and fry.

Add finely chopped onion, grated carrots.

Lightly extinguish and set aside.

Diced potatoes, put in a deep bowl.

Chop the cabbage and put it in a bowl too.

Diced cucumbers, add to a bowl.

Add beans as well, put soaked and squeezed mushrooms to the vegetables.

Salt everything, pepper, season with spices, put the meat here and mix everything well.

Take a suitable baking dish (always with a lid) and put the whole mass into it. Pour in the broth.

Preheat the oven to two hundred degrees and bake goju in it for about an hour, closing the lid.

If a slow cooker is used, then the whole process will take two hours.

Goja is served in the same dish where it was baked.

You can serve sour cream and fresh herbs with it.
