Cooking method

  1. Step 1:

    Step 1

Start your tasty New Year's salad by getting all the ingredients ready.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2

First, cook the chicken breast through.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3

    Hard-boil the eggs.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4

    Finely chop the tomatoes.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5

    Chop the green onion.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6

Grate the egg whites and yolks separately.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7

Cut the cooled chicken into pieces.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8

Now for the trickiest part — shaping the salad. On a wide, rimless platter, spread the tomatoes as the first layer, forming the outline of a monkey's face. Don't forget to season with salt and spread with mayonnaise.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9

Spread a layer of chopped chicken breast over the tomato. Salt it and spread with mayonnaise.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10

Next, a layer of green onion. If you like, spread with mayonnaise and season with salt.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11

Top the onion with corn and spread the top and sides of the salad well with mayonnaise.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12

Now carefully cover the whole salad with grated egg white and yolk. I made the eye area, the sides, and the bottom of the face from white, and sprinkled the rest of the monkey with yolk. Use the green peas to outline the monkey — its eyes, nose, and mouth — to give it that animal likeness. The New Year's Monkey salad is ready. Serve it at the holiday table. Enjoy!
