A favorite dessert—no cream required! And topped with strawberry sauce! Give it a try and enjoy!
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Add the sugar and vanillin to the egg yolks and beat with a mixer for 3–4 minutes.
-
Step 2:
Transfer this mixture to a saucepan, pour in the hot milk, and set it over the heat.
-
Step 3:
Cook, stirring. As soon as the first bubbles appear, take it off the heat and let it cool gradually at room temperature.
-
Step 4:
Pour the mixture into a container and put it in the freezer for 4 hours.
-
Step 5:
Stir the ice cream every 40 minutes as it freezes.
-
Step 6:
SAUCE: Mash the strawberries, add the sugar, and stir. Set the pan over the heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Skim off the foam, add the basil, and once it returns to a boil, take it off the heat. Strain, cool, and spoon it over the ice cream. Enjoy!
