Cooking method
This is a culinary recipe for a traditional Irish bean soup, which is served there for almost every holiday. It is quite difficult to prepare, but your efforts will not be in vain. This is a very tasty and satisfying meal that you will undoubtedly enjoy!
For this dish, you must first soak the white beans overnight. Before you start cooking, you need to rinse them, put them in a deep saucepan, pour fresh water, bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
Drain the broth obtained in the process of cooking beans – it will no longer be needed for cooking. In a large saucepan with hot oil, put the bacon, beef, bay leaf, cumin and finely chopped onion, garlic, celery and carrots. Add boiled beans, canned tomatoes, vinegar and water to them and mix thoroughly. Put the pan on medium heat and cook for an hour and a half. Make sure that the water does not boil off, and carefully remove the foam. If necessary, you can add some water.
When the soup is ready, pour it on plates and serve it on the table with toast and cheese. Don't forget to season it with salt and pepper.
Bon appetit!
